Information processed
Hosting and security infrastructure may process basic technical information when you visit, such as IP or network information, browser or device information, requested URLs and security logs. The information processed depends on the service configuration.
If you email Bret Vautour, your correspondence contains your email address and the information you choose to provide.
How information is used
Information is used to operate and secure the website, maintain the service and respond to enquiries.
Analytics
This site does not currently use Google Analytics or Cloudflare Web Analytics. No behavioural analytics tracking has been intentionally enabled at launch. Hosting and security services may still process operational information.
Cookies and browser storage
The site does not intentionally set non-essential analytics or advertising cookies at launch. Technical cookies or storage may be used by infrastructure services where needed to deliver or protect the website.
Hosting and service providers
Cloudflare provides the site's DNS, Cloudflare Pages hosting, content delivery and security infrastructure, according to the launch configuration. These services may process technical request information. Email correspondence is handled through Gmail. Service providers operate under their own applicable terms and privacy arrangements.
External links
Links to Amazon, Goodreads, social profiles and other external destinations take you to separate services with their own privacy practices. Bret Vautour does not control those services.
Retention
Correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry and any related follow-up.
Retention of infrastructure and security information may depend on the relevant service provider and operational or security needs.
Rights and questions
You may have rights under applicable data-protection law. To ask a privacy question or raise a concern, contact bretvautour@gmail.com. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is the UK supervisory authority for data protection and accepts privacy complaints.
Updates
This notice will be updated if the site's services or privacy arrangements change.
